About Samuel Garreffa
Samuel Garreffa has worked in the financial services industry since 2001, initially in corporate superannuation administration for four years before moving into the financial planning profession in 2004. He progressed through administrative and paraplanning roles, developing financial strategies and deep technical knowledge, before becoming a Financial Adviser and Estate Planning Specialist in 2010.
Samuel has guided clients through some of the most consequential financial decisions of their lives — from transition-to-retirement strategies and account-based pension structuring, to Centrelink planning and tax-effective superannuation drawdown. He takes pride in demystifying a system that many clients find overwhelming, turning complexity into clarity and uncertainty into confidence.
Beyond retirement planning, Samuel brings significant expertise in estate and succession planning. He works closely with clients' solicitors and accountants to design holistic estate strategies, including testamentary trusts, binding death benefit nominations, and business succession structures, ensuring that clients' wealth is protected and transferred according to their wishes. Notably, Samuel is the first Financial Adviser in South Australia to gain the Accredited Estate Planning Strategist (AEPS®) designation.
Samuel's qualifications reflect his commitment to excellence: he holds a Master of Applied Finance, a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, and a Bachelor of Business (Commercial Law), and is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®).
