About Karen Black
Karen Black has worked in the financial services industry since 1986, accumulating decades of experience across a wide range of roles in superannuation, investment management, and financial strategy. She joined Sheridans in 2010, initially specialising in the administration and accounting of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), where she developed a strong technical background in portfolio management, compliance, reporting, and taxation.
In 2016, Karen became an Authorised Representative of Sheridans Financial Services Pty Ltd, enabling her to broaden her expertise beyond SMSFs and provide clients with comprehensive financial planning services. Her advice now spans strategic planning, investment portfolio construction, retirement planning, superannuation, tax-effective strategies, and wealth creation — with a strong focus on delivering tailored, holistic outcomes for clients at all stages of life.
Karen's technical knowledge of the SMSF landscape is second to none. Whether guiding clients through fund establishment, contribution strategy, compliance obligations, or the transition to pension phase, she brings both regulatory rigour and genuine client focus to every engagement.
Karen is an Associate Member of the Self-Managed Super Fund Association, a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), and a member of CPA Australia. She has also completed the Diploma of Financial Planning.
